Matti Smith Competes at Texas FFA Rodeo Finals

Post's Matti Smith represented the local FFA at the Texas FFA Finals Rodeo July 8 -10 in Sinton, Texas just north of Corpus Christi.
She participated in barrel racing, goat tying and breakaway roping.
In the first performances, Matti won the barrels, placed third in breakaway and sixth in goat tying. In the second round, she finished seventh in barrels and fourth in goat roping. In the short go, Matti was second in barrels and 2nd in goat roping.
Overall, she earned the Reserve Champion title in barrel racing and received a fourth place team banner.
Matti is a junior at Post High School and is the daughter of Perry and Kelly Smith.
