Former military personnel and now residents at the Golden Plains Care Center were recognized on Veterans Day, November 11. The Ladies Auxiliary of the Post VFW honored them by presenting them with t-shirts made by T-N-T Designs. Pictured (l-r) are William Wiley, Walter McQuien, Auxiliary member Janie Dickson, Robert Buckley, English war bride Doris Jones, Auxiliary President Rebecca Jolly, Dave Earick, Jackie Hays and Connie Bass. Not pictured, Dempsey Zachary.
Halloween fun was had at the Garza County Courthouse. Members of the Clerk's office dressed up again this year using a Batman theme. Pictured left to right are Cat Woman (Rebecca Quintana), The Joker ( Terri Laurence) and Batman (Lina Rodriguez). Visiting the comic strip and silver screen characters are Sebastian Martinez (left) and Cruz Navarro.
These four puppies were rescued along with their mother a couple of weeks ago through a joint effort of the City of Post and Post Animal Refuge Center. They are now in a foster home and will be available for adoption in December. PARC can be reached at email@example.com or on Facebook at Post Arc.
