Chamber News - March 6

Published March 6, 2012 @ 11:15 a.m.

With Spring quickly approaching, the landscaping at the Depot is at the top of our list.  Maurine’s Flowers/Hudman Greenhouse donated plants last year for the flower bed around the building but we need some trees to really draw attention to this great structure.  We will be ordering trees next week and are offering sponsorships for these trees.  (We already have two commitments.)  The trees are $85 and $165 depending on size.  A plaque will be placed at each tree to identify the sponsor.  If you are interested in this project, please contact the PACC office by Tuesday, March 13 – 495-3461.

This weekend Ragtown Gospel Theater will be presenting “St. John and the Televangelist” Friday at 7:30 p.m. with another performance at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Taba’na Yuan’e will be at sunrise on March 22.   This annual ceremony is held annually to predict crops/economy for the coming year.

Also, our Annual Garza County Career Day (Job Fair) will be held on March 23 at the Post ISD Cafeteria.  All businesses are invited to have a booth and present information to jobseekers.  Booths are free for Chamber members and $25 for non-members.

Congratulations to our Members of the Week:  Gold Member – CITIZEN’S BANK and Silver Member – THRESSA HARP.
