BASH Collects Stuffed Animals for Hospital

Family and friends came from as far away as Archer City, Texas and beyond to celebrate life at Adam Smith's 18th birthday F.A.S.T. BASH Friday at the Post Community Center. (Click here to see related story.)
The purpose for Adam's party was to help fellow pediatric stroke victims who receive treatment at Cook Children's Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas. Adam requested his quests bring stuffed animals for gifts for the patients and not for himself. "Adam wanted to give back and show comfort and support to others and I think this FAST BASH achieved this on all levels," Adam's mom Regina told The Garza Post.
She went on to explain "we delivered 295 stuffed animals to Cook's Chapel (on Monday). The delivery was just in time because it was "clean out the bear basement day" at the hospital's chapel.
"Also, educating folks about the signs of a stroke and getting the information out from ANE Pediatric Stroke Foundation was a success. Most importantly, we pray this event honored our prayer warriors and glorified God as He has been with us for every step of this journey," added Regina.
