Lubbock attorney Becky Crump, who writes under the name R. L. Crump, will be at Ruby Lane Books Saturday, March 3, 1 to 3 p.m. to sign copies of her novel, "The Council."
Published by Tate Publishing, "The Council" is a "fast paced, exciting" novel that promises a good, entertaining read. The soft cover book is $15.95.
"When thirty men under indictment for crimes against women and children die in accidents or commit suicide within two years, Drew Kaufman, a private detective, suspects a group of vigilante killers. When his suspicions become known, Drew becomes a target of the very killers he's investigating."
"The Council" raises multiple questions about the truth of domestic violence and its sometimes less-than-fitting consequences for the perpetrators in our culture. The book explores the psychology of abuse, society's response and the longing of victims for justice.
