In addition to street vendors and food offerings during Post City Trade Day, live music will fill the air on East Main Street this Saturday featuring hometown band Vance Guthrie and Junction 84.

The main street maintenance project has concluded on the north side of East Main Street, which means plenty of parking and a clear pathway for traffic and shoppers.

Tim Tanner, President of Post City Merchants, told The Garza Post that the music area will be on Ave I between the Algerita Hotel and the Christmas Gallery.  Guthrie's band will play a free set from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. for the trade day shoppers.  Then the band will return that evening for the "Boogie on the Bricks" street dance from 8:30 -12:00 midnight.  An admission fee of $5 a person will be charged for the evening performance.

The expected line-up for Junction 84 is Vance, brother Brant Guthrie, Byron Mason and Randon Torres.

In the afternoon, various musicians are scheduled to take the stage from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Also, the merchants group announced that the vendor booth rental will be waived for the July 7th event and that Lubbock's River Smith's restaurant will set-up as a food vendor.
