Services for Don Nicholson, 84, of Albuquerque will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 23 in the Hudman Funeral Home Chapel with Travis Sweet of the Post Church of Christ officiating.

He died July 17, 2012 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. 

A transplanted Texan, Don lived most of his life in New Mexico.  He was born March 9, 1928 in the Canyon Valley, Texas community. He started out as a dry land farmer. He moved to Tatum, NM working in the oilfields. Then Don moved to Farmington, NM with a propane company and later landed in Gallup, NM where he started his own propane business.  He retired, passing the business to his children and moved to Carlsbad, NM until his health began to fail.

He chose to return "home" to be buried in a family plot in Post, TX.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mildred, two children, four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one sister.

Arrangements are by Hudman Funeral Home of Post.
