Lady Lopes Come out Spiking
Girls play in tourneys this weekend

The Post Lady Lopes volleyball players had a short summer. Two weeks prior to the first day of school, Coach Charlyn Hohman put her high school teams to the test twice earlier this week at the Antelope Arena. And this weekend the girls will compete in tournaments.
On Monday Plainview Christian came to town and on Tuesday Olton was here. In the first varsity games in Post High School history, both matches were close but the outcomes were in favor of the visitors. The Post JV girls found success in both matches to start off the season.
This weekend the 9th grade, JV and varsity squads play in tournaments. The varsity girls hope for their first pre-district win when play starts at 9:00 a.m. Friday in the Shallowater tourney. The underclass teams participate in the Sweetwater tournament.
The varsity team consists of Haily Berry, Kayla Comeaux, Taylor Osborn, Sara Greer, Kelbie Oden, Mattie Smith, Callie Odom, Alexis Ramirez, Maggie Shelton and Lauren Record.
The JV team is Rebecca Taylor, Anahica Duran, Chelby Morris, Kelsie Griffin, Sarah Stinson, Tamara Moore, Kayla Hallmark, Katie Dunn, Miranda Solorzano and Brogan Macy.
And Jessi Isbell, Zyra Pizana, M’Kenzee Pena, Mollie Burtch, Ragin Kimmons, Gabby Soto, Quincy Quintana, Madi Carr, Seira Scott and Priscilla Mendez make up the 9th grade team.
Morgan Deen, Dakota Greer and Kortnee McKee are serving as managers.
