Lopes End with a Win on Senior Night

The Post Antelope varsity baseball team ended the season with a victory over the Coahoma Bulldogs, 9-3, on Monday on home turf at Norm Cash Field. The Lopes finished the season with a 4-8 District 3-2A win loss record.
Senior Dale Diaz pitched the seven inning game for the Lopes recording seven strike-outs and giving up just five hits and one walk.
Matt Soto, Vance Blair, Pake Jones and Campbell Kirkpatrick had two hits apiece to keep the bases occupied.
The teams took a 4th inning stretch to recognize the outgoing senior players. Diaz, Soto and Parker Loftus were escorted by family members onto the field and introduced to the fans in the stands.
Next season Post will be looking at the new six member District 3-2A consisting of Slaton, Roosevelt, Idalou, Floydada and Childress.
