KISS Rocks the Courthouse
Halloween fun
Published Nov. 2, 2011 @ midnight
It's become a tradition at the Garza County Courthouse for the staff members of the District and County Clerk's office to have fun of Halloween.
This past holiday, the trio went to extremes to impersonate the 1970's rock band KISS. Deputy District Clerk Lina Rodriguez assumed the character of Paul Stanley, Deputy County Clerk Terri Laurence was Gene Simmons and Assistant Deputy Clerk Rebecca Quintana was Peter Criss.
The great costumes were partially purchased and partly home made.
Last year, they came dressed as Wizard of Oz characters. Prior to that, they impersonated Sonny & Cher and Michael Jackson and another time as characters from Grease.
Many visitors to the courthouse were pleased and a young one frightened by the KISS characters.
The three had fun, but expressed that they couldn't wait to remove the make-up and the costumes as soon as possible.
Admirers have inquired about what the Clerk's staff has planned for next year. I guess we'll just have to wait.
