Your vote is needed

Published Nov. 10, 2011 @ midnight

The Post High School Cheerleaders are in a battle for the Cheer Championship.

The contest pits pairs of cheer groups against each other a week at a time.  Week 7 begins November 10th at 6:00 p.m. and ends on November 17th at 3:00 p.m. and the young ladies from Post are in a battle against the Shallowater cheerleaders.

According to the official rules on the website the winning school will receive $3000.00 ($1500.00 from Sonic, $1500.00 from South Plains College). The members of the winning squad will receive individual scholarships to South Plains College (value to be determined.)

Each week the votes are tallied and announced on KCBD Channel 11.  On December 13th, the cheerleading squad with the most votes will win and be announced on the air.

To help the Post squad advance in the contest, be sure to vote for them by going online to KCBD to cast your vote.
