Delwin Fluitt

Services for Delwin Fluitt, 70, of Post will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church in Post with John Bill Hedrick of Graham Chapel Methodist Church officiating. Burial in Terrace Cemetery will be under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home.

He died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011 in Lubbock. Fluitt was born July 11, 1941 in Lynn County to Carl and Irene Fluitt.  He married Kathy Doherty in Post on Aug. 10, 1974. He was a member of the MRCS Board, Graham Chapel Methodist Church and a former director of Graham Coop Gin.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy of Post; a daughter, Belinda and husband Robert Brown of Post; three sons: Steven Fluitt of Post, Patrick Fluitt of Post and Daniel Fluitt of Lubbock; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A son, Russell Fluitt, preceded him in death on Feb. 17, 1989.

Visitation at the funeral home will be from 6 until 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11.  The family suggests memorials to Graham Chapel Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
