Girls Win Slaton All-Star Tourney

The girls went 3-0 and claimed the 2011 Little League All-Star District Championship with a 17-4 decisive win over Abernathy Saturday morning in Slaton. Katie Quintana got her second win of the tournament and went the distance for the Lady Lopes with the game ending in the 5th inning.

This is the second consecutive year the major league girls have won the district all-star title.

The next step for the girls is the sectional tournament that starts around July 8th in Lubbock.
