Lighted Christmas Parade Ushers In Holiday Season

Mother Nature was kind and gave the community an opening in the wet weather to set the stage for another successfull lighted Christmas Parade. Organized by the Post Area Chamber of Commerce, the well-organized, well-lit parade welcomed the Christmas Season in Post Saturday night, Dec. 3.
Sponsors who supported the annual parade by funding the cash prizes are: Xcel Energy, Citizens Bank, Wells-Fargo, United Supermarket, OS Museum, Brady's Package Store, Sonic, Hudman Furniture, Twins' Fashion.
Parade winners, chosen by a panel of judges, are: Best of Show, $300: Post-Garza County Endowment; Best of Novelty, $150: Bullard Farms; Best of Businesses, $150: Burger Remodeling; Best of Organizations, $150: Boy Scout Troop 316.
Other winners in the Open Category ($50 each) are: Girl Scouts, Poka Lambro, Dru Ann Verkamp, Tyler Family Farm, Sugar Baby Racing, Holy Cross Catholic Church, and Bo Jackson.
