Over 100 “movers and shakers” representing the 52 counties of the Texas Plains Trail Region will be in Post August 15 and 16 for their annual Tourism & Preservation Roundup.
The annual event is hosted by the Caprock Cultural Association, Post Area Chamber of Commerce, Post City Celebrations, Inc., the City of Post and Garza County.
"We are fortunate to have the opportunity to host this event," said Rosa Latimer, Executive Director of the Caprock Cultural Association. "Hotel rooms are already filling up and this group has indicated they want to have time to shop and enjoy our museums."
The Monday Night Trail Mixer, 6:00 p.m. at The Heritage House will give attendees a chance to enjoy refreshments and visit with friends and partners in the region. Monday night's fun will include unique tours of Post, door prizes and other surprises.
Events begin Tuesday at the Community Center with a continental breakfast at 7:30. The Roundup kicks off at 9:00 a.m. covering subjects such as Geo-Caching, Turning Challenges into Opportunities, Nuts & Bolts of Marketing, Oral Histories, and Preserving Video History. Lunch will be provided.
