Post Football Players of the Week and A-J Honor Roll

Based on their performances, the following players were recognized by the Post coaching staff for their outstanding play in Week 2's win over Slaton, 22-15 which improved the Lope's record to 3-0:
Offensive - Dalton Holly
Defensive - Alan Alaniz
Bold Gold Player - Paden Babb
Special Team Player - DJ Brown
Late Tuesday evening, the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal released it's weekly honor roll of area football players who excelled in the previous game.
Five Post Antelopes are on the list of 2A players who had impressive stats in the Slaton game:
Dalton Holly, WR, Post, 5-10, 155, Sr.: Scored on a 22-yard touchdown run in overtime to clinch a 22-15 win over Slaton.
D.J. Brown, RB, Post, 5-6, 140, Jr.: Rushed for 124 yards and scored on a 58-yard punt return in a 22-15 win over Slaton.
Nathan Gill, DT, Post, 6-0, 191, Sr.: Had 12 tackles, a sack and three tackles for losses in a 22-15 win over Slaton.
Alan Alaniz, LB, Post, 6-3, 155, Jr.: Had 10 tackles and four tackles for losses in a 22-15 win over Slaton.
Bryan Smith, LB, Slaton, 6-0, 155, Soph.: Recorded 10 tackles and two tackles for losses in a 22-15 win over Slaton.
