The final publication date for The Garza Post will be Sunday, December 2, 2012.
From the beginning, July 4, 2011, our mission was to provide an online news and information source for the community. We hoped to create a culture of participation where the citizens of Garza County could read quality news as well as contribute to that news. To best serve the community, our content was available to the public, for free, 24/7/365.
We feel the news coverage available to the community has significantly improved over the past year, thanks to The Garza Post and the Post Dispatch. Healthy competition has benefitted the community and news readers. For the sake of the citizens of Post and Garza County, we hope the quality and scope of coverage continue to grow.
So, while we may be closing, we encourage our readers and contributors to support the Post Dispatch so that this community will continue to have access to local event information and quality news coverage.
Most importantly we thank you, our readers, contributors, and advertisers for riding this new media wave with us. May God bless each and every one of you.
