Latest Memorial Bricks Added to Centennial Plaza

Published May 8, 2012 @ 4:05 p.m.

The Post Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a semi-annual brick laying at Centennial Plaza on the courthouse lawn May 3.  Four new commemorative bricks were added in honor of:  Terry, Jeana & Lacy (Sims) Reagan; Spence Bevers, Civil Service, Corpus Christi, Tx; Aaron Del Odom, EMS, 1991; Joy Browning, Deputy Clerk, 1971 - 1995.

The Centennial Plaza was constructed using the original brick from the streets of the City of Post.  The plaza has 4 sections:  citizens of Post and Garza County; Garza County veterans; elected officials; businesses and organizations.

Bricks are sent to the engravers twice a year.  The next order will be submitted in July.  An engraved brick is $55.  Forms to order bricks are located at the plaza and at the Chamber office.  For more information call the Chamber, 806-495-3461.
