Trade Day Adds Live Music to Main Street

Published March 22, 2012 @ 6 a.m.

The April Post City Trade Day on April 7, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., will have live music and remote car drag races as well as great shopping opportunities.  Tim Tanner, President of Post City Merchants, the group who sponsors the monthly Trade Day event, revealed the April plans during the March Post City Council meeting.  Tanner discussed the need to close a portion of Avenue I south of East Main Street to accommodate the races.  City Manager Arbie Taylor assured the group that if the repair of the brick Main Street has begun, it would not interfer with the event.

"Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be given at the remote car races,"  Tanner explained.  "And, we'll have live country music on a cotton trailer on Main Street."

If you are interested in being a vendor, booths are $25 and require a sales tax id number.  Call 806-559-0835 or email postcitymerchants@aim.com to reserve your space or for more information.
