PACC News for the Week of June 12

News from the Post Area Chamber of Commerce

Published June 12, 2012 @ 8:29 p.m.

We want to thank Chris and his staff at the Community Recovery Center for hosting our Quarterly Member’s Meeting last week.  It was a great time and we all learned a lot.  Our next Member’s Meeting will be on September 6.

This Friday, Holy Cross Catholic Church is having a benefit fish fry for Kathy and Patrick Fluitt.  The cost is $8 per plate.

Ragtown Gospel Theater will be presenting “Pentecost” this weekend – Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 3:00 p.m.

We want to welcome our newest Chamber member, STRC Investments.  They are the new owners of the PEDC rental property in town.

Silver Chamber Member Poka Lambro is offering FREE computer classes at the Post Public Library, 105 East Main St., Post, and TX. The classes will be over various topics including computer basics, Facebook and e-mail and what to do with your digital camera. Participants can attend all three classes or just the ones they are interested in. The classes are June 14, 2:00 p.m. - e-mail and Facebook; June 21, 2:00 p.m. - using your digital camera. Classes are free but due to limited space and class size, pre-registration is required. Please pre-register by calling or stopping by the Poka Lambro Store.

The next Chamber Community Bingo Night is scheduled for August 2.  The Post Stampede Rodeo Parade will be on Saturday, August 11.  Of course Post City Trade will be monthly on July 7 and August 4.  We will wrap up the summer with the Rotary’s annual Smokin’ in the Park Barbeque Cook-off on August 24 & 25.

Check out the Calendar of Events at www.postcitytexas.com for other events and contact the office if you have events you would like to have added to the calendar.

Congratulations to our Members of the Week:
Silver Member – TWO DRAW WELDING
Silver Member – O S MUSEUM
