PACC News for the Week of July 17

Thanks to everyone who participated in the Construction Cash Mob last Thursday.  A special thanks to Xcel Energy and the other businesses who donated cash and prizes – Sassy Sunflower, Twins, The Lord’s Vineyard, Plum Crazy, Brazos River Steakhouse, Main Street Mercantile, Hotel Garza, Brady’s Package Store & Buffalo Creek Threads.  What a great way to recognize our local businesses!

Poka Lambro will be holding basic computer classes at the Post Public Library.  July 19th at 2:00 p.m. the class will cover computer basics. July 26th at 2:00 p.m. the class will discuss e-mail and social media. August 2nd’s 2:00 p.m. class will cover digital camera basics. Classes are free but due to limited space pre-registration is required.  To register or for more information please call 806-990-9901.

The Caprock Cultural Association will be sponsoring a Wyman Meinzer Photography Workshop in Post; August 4. Meet at the Heritage House, 109 No. Avenue N. Supper at 6:30 and then the group will learn about "Painting with Light" as well as shooting in moonlight. $200/person; payment due with reservation; class size limited to 15. KCBD Newschannel 11 will be bringing their Community Profile live coverage to Post on Thursday, July 26.  The event will be at the City Park and there will be lots of food and fun.

August will be a big month in Post.  The Chamber Community Bingo Night will be on August 2, Post City Trade Day on August 4 and the Post Stampede Rodeo begins August 9.  Our Annual Rodeo Parade is Saturday, August 11.  On August 24 & 25 the Annual Rotary Smokin’ in the Park Bar-B-Q cook-off will be at the City Park.  Don’t miss any of the fun!
