Girl Scouts Learn Retail Business

Published Feb. 22, 2012 @ midnight

Recently members of the Post Girl Scout Troop 6416 were treated to the insight of how a small retail business operates.  The girls were hosted by Donna Degan, owner and operator of the Main Street shop, Plum Crazy, a store with a variety of offerings for sale.

Local Girl Scout organizer Carol Tobias told The Garza Post that the troop meets on Fridays at 6:00 p.m. at the Scout House on 7th Street.  She explained that "any girl can join at anytime.  I have forms they can fill out and it costs $12 to join."

Also, the Girl Scouts "are ALWAYS looking for leaders, too!  Training is provided through the council or online."  If you are interested in getting involved, call Carol at 495-3057 or email her at elainny@lyntegar.com.
