Beef Cattle Management in Dry Times - Texas AgriLife Extension Service will be holding their annual Beef cattle Seminar on August 29th at the Scurry Coliseum located at 900 East Coliseum Drive Snyder, TX from 9:00a.m. - 12:00p.m. 2 General CEU’s offered price is $10.00 per person. For more information or questions please contact the Extension office.

4-H Enrollment - It’s time for the New Year 4-H enrollment for 2012-2013 begins August 15th on 4-H connect. If you are interested in joining 4-H please contact the Extension office at 495-4400. If you are already a member then go to your 4-H connect account and reenroll. Enrollment is open from August 15th to October 31st.

Achievement Brunch - The annual recognition event show-casing 4-H participation and successes for the previous year has been set for Saturday Morning August 25th at 9:30 a.m. at the Heritage House. Everyone who participated in stock shows, photography, shooting sports, horse shows, horse play days, consumer decision making, healthy lifestyles, fashion show, fashion story board, Roundup or Power Camp will be recognized. If you are new to 4-H, come see what all we have to offer.  Everyone is welcome.  Please call the office to RSVP so we’ll know about how many to expect (but if you forget, come on anyway!)
