Softball Lopes Win at D-City

DENVER CITY - The Lady Lopes softball team maintains a .500 win-loss recond, now 4-4 in District 3-2A play after defeating the Fillies at Denver City on Monday, 21-11.

Post bounced back against D-City after Saturday's loss to first place Coahoma, 15-0.

Today (4/5/12) the L-Lopes, now in fourth place, hope to stay in the palyoff race as they host the second seeded Forsan Lady Buffs at noon.

Against D-City, Senior hurler Kari Dunn pitched the six innings game due to the 10 run mercy rule.  She struck out four batters and gave up 14 hits.  Behind her, the young L-Lopes suffered seven errors in the field but made up for it at the plate.

The Post team combined for 17 hits. Both Kelbie Oden and Callie Odom had three hits each.  Bethany Curtis, Kayla Comeaux, Kari Dunn and Alexis Ramirez got on base with two hits apeice.
