Lula Jo Stewart 87 of Lubbock and formerly of Post died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011 in Lubbock.  Graveside service will be held Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in the Terrace Cemetery at Post.  Sky Moore, grandson, will be officiating.  Arrangements are under the personal care of Dee and Janet Justice, Justice-Mason Funeral Home, Post.

Lula Jo was born July 17, 1924 in Lynn County to Emory Ollie and Ivy Lula (Bullock) Young.  She attended school at Close City and completed school at Post High School.  The former Lula Jo Young married Melvin 'Skinny' Stewart December 24, 1940 at Two Draw Lake.  They were married in the home of Ollie and Roy Stevens at Two Draw.  Skinny preceded her in death December 28, 1994.  They farmed in the Graham Community until Skinny's retirement.  She is also preceded in death by a Great-grandchild: Tatum Rae Moore, March 5, 2008.

Survivors include: four daughters, Sandra Claborn of Post, Pam Cross of Mansfield, Donna Sell of Lubbock and Melvin Moore of Wilson.  One brother: Emory O. Young, Jr. of Ft. Worth.  Five grandsons and five granddaughters.  Nine great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Pallbearers will be grandson’s and a great-grandson: Jay Claborn, Brody Moore, Sky Moore, Wacey Moore, Sasha Mandikian and Payson Hendrix.
