Post City Council Meets Tuesday, Sept. 13

The Post City Council will hold its regular meeting Tuesday, September 13, 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 105 E. Main St.  Following is the post agenda for the meeting:

Consider approval of consent agenda:  Approve minutes from regular meeting, Aug. 9; approve invoices received at City Hall for September, 2011, subject to the approval of the committee.

Consider request from Code Administrator to give deadline for demolition of property located on Highway 84.

Discuss/consider request for Hotel/Motel Funds from Hotel Garza.

Discuss/consider request for Hotel/Motel Funds from Garza Theatre.

Discuss/consider request for Hotel/Motel Funds from Caprock Cultural Association.

Discuss/consider request for Hotel/Motel Funds from Post Merchants Association.

Discuss/consider request for Hotel/Motel Funds from Post City Festivals.

Discuss/consider approval of airport hangar construction from Blair Bouchier.

Discuss/consider Ordinance 617 setting forth rules, regulations and requirements related to the fencing and enclosing of private swimming pools.

Discuss/consider council approval for City Secretary to issue RFPs for Depository Services.

Discuss/consider sale of property located at 115 E. 5th.

Discuss/consider resolution 368 establishing a Fund Balance Policy.

Discuss/consider final approval from Iglesia De La Profecia Church on variance request for awning at 602 W. 14th.

Discuss/consider Ordinance 618 approving the City of Post's Municipal Budget for fiscal year 2011-2012.

Discuss/consider Ordinance 619 fixing and levying combined Municipal Ad Valorem Taxes of the City of Post for the year 2011; directing the assessment and collection thereof in support of the approved fiscal 2011-2011 Municipal Budget.  Maintenace and Operation: 0.370172; Interest and Sinking Fund 0.199323.

Communications from Citizens.  At this time comments will be taken from citizens on any subject matter whether or not that item is on the agenda.  All comments are limited to a maximum of three minutes for each speaker.  As specified in the Texas Open Meetings Act, any deliberation of, or decision about, a subject not included on the current meeting notice shall be limited to a proposal to place the subject on the agenda for a subsequent meeting.  No action can be taken on an item not specificed on current agenda.
