Seniors Play Final Career Game Against Hawley

8th Grade Up for Undefeated Season

This Friday is the last game of the 2011 football season for the Bold Gold Antelopes as they welcome the Hawley Bearcats.  During the evening, the senior players and cheerleaders will be honored at Jimmie Redman Memorial Stadium.

The Bearcats have an 2-2 district record and are 6-2 for the season and will be figthing to keep their playoff hopes alive.  They had an open night last Friday.

The Lopes enter Week 8's game with a 2-7 season record and a 1-4 District 2-2A record after last week's loss to Stanton.  (Click here for the game story.)

The other District 2-2A, Division II varsity games are Idalou at Anson , Forsan hosts Stanton and Coahoma has the night off.

Hope to see you at the game Friday.  But if you can't be there, listen online to Post Sports Radio for live play-by-play.  The pre-game starts at 7:10 with the kick-off at 7:30 p.m.

Thursday's Games

After last week's games with Stanton, the 8th graders were the only Antelope team to claim a victory.  They shut- out the Buffaloes, 32-0 to go into the final regular season game without a loss. 

The Post Junior High (7th and 8th grade) teams play at home.  The seventh grade begins at 5:00 p.m. and the eighth grade game follows.  The 7th grade is 6-1 and 4-1 in district and the 8th grade team is 7-0, 5-0.  (Click here to see game summaries.)

The Junior Varsity (3-6, 2-3) travel to Hawley for a 6:00 p.m. kick-off.  (Click here to see JV game summaries.)
