GCJLA Fundraiser Dinner a Success

The Garza County Junior Livestock Association held its annual fundraiser on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at the Garza County Trailblazers building.  The event was opened by a welcome to guests by President Milton Williams.  Post FFA Advisor Perry Smith gave the prayer.  A delicious meal of brisket, salads, beans and desserts were enjoyed by all.

The grand prize winner for the night was John Thomas.  The other winners were Waylon Strawn, Maddy Hart, Pat Reiter, Ronnie Dunn and Dennis McDonald.  The door prize winners were Wanda Osborn, Nancy Morris, Mrs. Tommy Binford, and Eric Matteson.

A special thank you is extended to Jerry and Wanda Osborn for cooking the briskets; Bubba Smith for being our Auctioneer and to Garza County Trailblazers for the use of their building.  The biggest thanks go to all the people in the community that donated to GCJLA to help the youth of Garza County.  Your generosity is greatly appreciated by the board and members.
