Lopes Play at Stanton

JH Teams Look to Remain Undefeated

Friday, the Antelope varsity football team and fans make a familiar trek to the Permian Basin, this time to Stanton to play the Buffaloes.

The Lopes enter Friday night's district game with a 2-6 season record and a 1-3 district record after last week's loss to Idalou.  (Click here for the Idalou game story.)

The Buffaloes enter week 8 with an 0-3 district record and are 2-5 for the season after loosing to Hawley last week.

The other District 2-2A, Division II varsity games are Coahoma at Anson, Forsan at Idalou and Hawley has the night off.

The undefeated Post Junior High (7th and 8th grade) teams play Thursday at Stanton.  The seventh grade begins at 5:00 p.m. and the eighth grade game follows.  Both Post teams are 6-0 (season) and 4-0 (district) after defeating Idalou last week.  (Click here to see game summaries.)

The Junior Varsity (3-5, 2-2) host Stanton on Thursday for a 6:00 p.m. kick-off at Reman Stadium.  (Click here to see JV game summaries.)
