It is not too late to register for a Basic Computer Skills course for adults that begins Nov. 29 in Post.  The class will include common daily computer use such as email, as well as basic information about computer hardware and software.

The class is a joint effort between the Caprock Cultural Association, a local non-profit, and South Plains College.  "We have been asked many times to provide an opportunity for folks to learn the simple basics of using a computer,"  said Rosa Latimer, Executive Director of the Association.  "This class will meet that need in a way that is not intimidating.  It is geared to the adult beginner who uses a computer for personal reasons or perhaps someone who needs to sort of 'relearn' some computer skills."

The cost is $30 per student and will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Post Middle School Computer Lab.  The class dates are Nov. 29, Dec. 1, Dec. 6 and Dec. 8.  Carol Hester will be the instructor.

"We realize people are very busy, especially this time of year.  This class meets four times so it doesn't require a big time commitment,"  Latimer continued.

To register in advance, contact Kasey Reyes at (806) 716-2341 or you can register the first night of class. Pre-registration is encouraged.

For more information, contact Ron Spears, Associate Dean of Dual Credit, at (806) 716-2504 or Rosa Latimer, Caprock Cultural Association, (806) 495-4148.
