Emergency Care Attendant Class Offered

Classes begin July 11

Published July 6, 2011 @ 9:52 p.m.

Post-Garza County EMS is sponsoring an Emergency Care Attendant (ECA) Class that will begin Monday, July 11. This class will be held each Monday, Wednesday and Thursday night from 6:30-10:30 through August 18 in the training room above City Hall.

Once you complete the class, pass the National Registry First Responder test and certify on the State level as ECA you will have the opportunity to serve the community with the EMS.

This is not a “band aid” class nor is it a “first aid” class. There is a lot of commitment you must make on your part. If you have ever wanted to help those who are sick or traumatized this could be for you. Tuition for the class is $100 and the books are approximately $100. If you are interested in becoming an ECA, please call Rodney Tidwell, 806-620-0960 for the details.

“As long as you are committed to help our patients we will be committed to helping you get the certifications and qualifications you need to be a very vital member of our team,” Tidwell said. “When completed and you become a member of our team, your tuition will be returned to you after a one year commitment.”
