Post Rotary Club Double-Dips Community Service
Published July 21, 2011 @ 1 a.m.
The Post Rotary Club annual dog dip proved once again to be an appreciated service to the community. Rotary members dipped over 100 dogs to help eliminate fleas and ticks. The club uses the proceeds from this event for scholarships to graduating Post High School seniors, another valued community service.
"We had a great turn out for the 2011 annual Rotary Dog dip & Vaccination clinic," said Kristi Wink who, along with her husband and local veterinarian Dr. Kerry Wink, provided animal vaccinations at a reduced price during the Rotary event. "Our clinic doubled the amount of vaccinations given compared to last year's event. We had dogs arriving by car, truck, & trailer loads!"
The Rotary Club and the Garza County Animal Hospital expressed appreciation to the Post Volunteer Fire Department for providing the place for the event and to Higginbothams for their continued support.
