Lady Lopes Complete a Weekend of Tourneys

The varsity Lady Lopes come home from the Roby Tournament with two wins in four tries while improving their overall record to 3 wins and 7 losses before playing the first District 3-2A game on Tuesday at Colorado City.

After loosing the first game last Thursday against Roby, the girls bounced back on Friday and won two games beating Haskell 55-52 and then handling Baird 48-29 to put then into the Consolation Game on Saturday.

Post put forth a last quarter surge outscoring Albany by nine points but it wasn't enough to make up the 14 point deficit losing 54-49.

The Lady Lope's sophomore post player Taylor Osborn averaged 16 points a game and represented her squad on the all-tournament team.  

The JV Lady Lopes finished in third place in the Sands Tourney winning two of three games, the last against Klondike was down to the wire with Post winning by one, 28-27.

The 7th and 8th grade A-teams participated in the Slaton Tournament.  See boxscores below.
