Not Unnoticed

(Editor's note: This message was originally sent to the Post Area Chamber of Commerce via their web site. This is a testiment to the good character of people from Post.)
To the young man who stopped on the hill descending into Post, Texas this afternoon to change my flat tire:
Your clean language did not go unnoticed.
Your smile and quiet demeanor did not go unnoticed.
Your professionalism and your work ethic did not go unnoticed.
Your gentle reference to your own mom did not go unnoticed.
The car seat in your truck didn't go unnoticed.
And, the fact that you would not take one dime from
me, no matter how hard I tried to insist, did not go unnoticed.
What did go unnoticed...was your name. I'm so ashamed.
In tribute, I want to say, Wow!!
Nobody grows real men like small town, rural families.
