Post City Trade Day This Saturday

Traditional parade and other holiday happenings

Published Dec. 1, 2011 @ 6 a.m.

While the official holiday shopping season began in a big way in Post last Friday, there's more ahead.  Post City Trade Day is Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Along with the dozen or so unique local shops, street vendors will line Main Street.  At approximately 6 p.m. the annual lighted Christmas Parade will bring more lights and music to an already dazzling downtown.

Saturday afternoon, 2 to 5 p.m. the Post Animal Refuge Center will be taking Christmas-themed pictures of your dogs and cats at the Community Center (Main Street door). For a $7 donation, you will receive a framed 4x6 photo of your pet.  All animals must be on a leash or crated and current on vaccinations.

The Boy Scouts of Troop 316 will be collecting Canned Food items during the Lighted Christmas Parade.  Bring canned food items to the parade and the Boy Scouts will collect as they walk the parade route.  All items will be donated to the local Post CARES ministry.
