Quality Counts- Quality Counts verification will be required for all youth exhibiting at all major livestock shows in 2012. Trainings will be offered locally and are available online with testing. Verification numbers must be obtained and utilized in entering major shows. The website is now available at: https://qualitycounts.tamu.edu/verification/.
Fall Fair Entries- All members wanting to enter any of the fall fairs- deadline for entries is Thursday, August 11 at 5pm. Come by the Extension office to sign up. Entry fees due at the time of entry.
Bob Benson Memorial Golf Tournament - August 16th, Plainview Country Club. Proceeds sponsor local 4-H youth so if you are interested, call the office.
State Horse Show Results – Dakota McDonald was Reserve High Point Roper placing 1st and 7th in Team roping, 2nd in Tie Down Roping and 6th in Breakaway roping. Good Job Dakota!
Rodeo Concession - 4-H members are asked to help in the Rodeo Concession stand. Sign up by calling the office at 495-4400. Remember, you get into the rodeo for free when you work.
Football Program – Garza County 4-H is selling ads for the Antelope football programs. If you are a business or parent and are interested in an ad, call the office at 495-4400.
Photography – Start taking pictures for the South Plains Fair youth photography contest!
